The speed of e-commerce studio photo shoots is blazing, as it is a simple process. Once you get started it gets hard to stop, as all you need to take photographs of are the front, side, and back; and you can move on to the next one.  This is a fairly easy and simple task that I take on when I feel that I need to relax my brain. However, there are not as simple as they seem.  There is still a great deal of thought and effort that goes into them. You are required to sure the right place, get the perfect model, set up the space, go through each item thoroughly, recheck the images and then finally pack up.

You simply cannot go over the front, back and side process and call it the day. You need to set a plan in motion that can help you get through the process as fast as possible.

Yes, there are times when all you need to do is take pictures from three sides, and you are done. However, the e-commerce market has started to grow in competition. And some e-commerce stores are now looking for proper images, that just not only highlight the photo. They need images they tell a story and follow a specific theme. You simply cannot go over the front, back and side process and call it the day. You need to set a plan in motion that can help you get through the process as fast as possible.

But there are still large corporations such as Amazon that carry the easy to take e-commerce photographs. Over the last few months, I have had the opportunity to work with a range of e-commerce store owners, and the difference in experience was amazing. As there is a complete shift in working when it comes to different environments. And that is what I love most about being a professional fashion photographer, that no day is like the other. Each day offers a completely different experience. So you can keep on challenging yourself, experience, and learn.

But for fashion photographers who are starting out, I suggest you start to take on these simple and easy to cover e-commerce studio photo shoots, as they can help you advance your career. They may seem like a walk in the park to a well-seasoned fashion photographer, but they will still require a lot of work. So when you start on them and perfect your base, it will be easier for you to step up to the next project. I myself take on the front, side, and back e-commerce photo shoots when I am looking to get some basic work done, as it is a great way to polish your basic skills.

The speed of these e-commerce studio photo shoot depends on the model and the setting as well. As I have even been through shoots that took an amazingly long time to get through, as the day kept bringing forward one curve-ball after another. Those days act as a great source of example, as you can always keep them in mind, and remind yourself that nothing comes easy. You have to keep on working, and working till you get it right.
