Fashion isn’t just about what meets the eye.
You may think that’s true, but you’re wrong. Fashion is so much more than what you see on the runway—it’s about who you are and how you express yourself through your wardrobe. It’s a way of expressing yourself in public without saying anything, and it can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be.
If you’ve ever visited a fashion show, you know that fashion is more complicated than what first appears. It’s about everything—from the outfit to the lighting and the location.

As a fashion photographer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to capture some of the most beautiful people on Earth.
I am an LA fashion photographer, and I believe it’s important to see beyond what a person is wearing. I’m interested in how a person moves and the rhythm of their walk. I also think about their personality and how they hold themselves—those movements are all part of my work as a photographer.
Fashion photography is a fun and creative job.
As a fashion photographer, you can take pictures of people wearing the latest and greatest fashions. Your camera is your best friend, and you capture the most interesting moments in fashion—when someone is modeling a new outfit or style or trying something on for the first time.
It’s also a great way to meet many cool people who are into fashion—and that’s not something you can say about many other jobs!
Career as a Fashion Photographer
A fashion photographer should know a few things.
First, the job market is tough. There are plenty of people with degrees in fashion and photography who are struggling to find work. And even if you have experience in this field, it can be hard to break into the industry.
Second, success doesn’t come overnight. People often think that once they land their first job as a fashion photographer, it will be easy from there on out—but that’s not true! While there are many industry advancement opportunities, getting where you want takes time and effort.
Third, don’t forget about your passion! There are so many ways to make money as a photographer—and while some of them might seem like they don’t involve much creativity or thought-provoking work (like working at a magazine or catalog), there are also opportunities like being commissioned by brands or working on personal projects that allow photographers creative freedom while still bringing in an income.
