History of Fashion Photography
Today, most of the people fail to understand the history of fashion photography, and that fashion photography is a form of art. It takes on various things and designs and brings forward a striking image. However, it took the fashion industry more than 100 years to get to a point where it was well recognized in the world and seen as a piece of art. When you look at fashion images today, you can see and feel the expression and emotion that comes forward.
If you look at the history of fashion, you will be able to see many iconic images, that can easily be shown off as a perfect piece of art. However, it wasn’t always seen like this, as the fashion photographers back then had to work hard to make their mark on the world. When you look at these images you will be able to see how the photographer was able to take in the entire scenario. Each image shows the right spirit, design, and every element that is present in the image. Each aspect was thought through, from the model, the outfit, styling, set, design, theme, location, etc. This is where I really got my inspiration from. This is really what got me started in the fashion industry. It was the images and videos that I saw, that inspired me got me interested.

I was always interested in photography, but my love for fashion photography only came forward after I learned more about the history of fashion photography, and saw how interesting it really is. I could never have imagined that I would end up as a professional fashion photographer, but there came a time in life when it became clear, that it is what I am supposed to do with my life. You know that moment in life when it just clicks and you know that what you are after, and what will make you happy.
I am obsessed with the history of the fashion industry, and that is not because I get to see stunning images. Well, that is a huge plus point, but when you really start to read about it, you see what it is all about. And how it took years to develop. It is like watching someone work their way up from the bottom to the very top, and it is downright inspirational. I still remember that after I got started as a professional fashion photographer, I often had people asking me that why have I chosen such a career that does not pay well for everyone. And all I had today that it is art, most people might not be able to understand the feeling. But that is only because they are not familiar with the history as I am. If they too took out the time to learn more about the fashion industry, and fashion photography. They would be able to see why this is the only place I wish to be, and how it can completely transform your life.
