The term thrilled to death is often confused by readers, as they fail to understand the true meaning of the term.
Some feel it offers the same meaning as the terms “excited” or “pleased” but in my opinion, these terms do not even begin to explain the depth that the phrase carried.
It is a term I often use when someone asks me how I feel about my career as a professional fashion photographer. I tell them that I am “thrilled to death” with what each day has to bring.
So when I think about that simply meaning I am excited or pleased, I feel it falls short to explain my emotion or intention.
I have been working in the field for years, and I am proud for every day I have spent as a professional fashion photographer. As it has allowed me the opportunity to show off my skills, perception, and techniques to the entire world.
With each passing day, I get more and more excited, as I see great things happening for me in my future. These allow me to get up in the morning and feel excited about the coming day.
For me thrilled to death would mean something a pursuit of pleasure, that leaves you numb, but helps you keep going. There have been times when people have asked me why I have chosen such a competitive field, and my answer has always been simple.
It is because I love the chase, I want to be the best at what I do. And how would I feel content without knowing that I am acing at such a competitive field, where hundreds fail with each passing year.

Yes, everyone dreams of becoming a professional fashion photographer. However, there are only a few of us that really get the chance to live our dreams.
And I am lucky enough to be one of the many that were able to turn my dreams into reality. So you should understand my emotion when I say I am thrilled to death.
As once you become a professional fashion photographer you will never be able to settle for less.
Because where do you go from the top? The high and excitement that my field brings are what keeps me on my toes, and I am the kind of man that likes to live life on the edge.
Well in both literal and metaphorical terms. As this is the only place where I belong. Yes, I do cover other branches of photography, and it has been amazing. But there is nowhere else that I rather be, then right here in this moment.
In the past few years, I have grown as a person and as a photographer, that it can be hard to recognize myself. Which I am thankful for every day, as it has allowed me to become the man that I am today. A more confident, talented, and skillful fashion photographer that is not just here to make it to the top. As I am here to make a mark on the world.
