Famous Fashion Photographers

If you would ask me which fashion photographer has inspired me the most, then honestly it will take me a few minutes to list down all the great fashion photographers that have inspired me. Yes, that’s right I have a long list of fashion photographers that have inspired me throughout, and still do. To help you get a sense of what I am talking about, here I have listed down some of my favorite fashion photographers. These fashion photographers have inspired me to aim for the sky, and are a huge part of my success.

Richard Avedon (1923-2004)
Was a highly influential photographer during the WWII, and was later hired by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. He worked as a Cheif Photographer and covered photographs for Vogue, Life, and Look. In addition, he covered fashion shows for Calvin Klein Jeans, Revlon, and Gianni Versace.

David Bailey (b.1938)
Was a well-known British fashion photographer that worked for Vogue UK. He is mostly known for his photographs of Jean Shrimpton.

Gian Paolo Barbieri (b.1938)
An Italian fashion photographer has showcased his work in Novita. Later he started working for fashion houses such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferre, and Versace. He has worked with Audrey Hepburn, Jerry Hall, Mirella Petteni, Veruschka, and Monica Bellucci.

Lillian Bassman (1917–2012)
She was a well-known fashion photographer for both Junior and Harper’s Bazaar. During her career, she championed many leading photographers and was a huge part of the revolution in Harper’s magazine.

Cecil Beaton (1904-1980)
An influential portrait and fashion photographer, who worked for Vanity Fair, and Vogue. even became an Academy Award winner.

Erwin Blumenfeld (1897-1969)
Was a German-born lens based photographer, who is mostly known for his fashion photographs that were published in Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue from 40’s to 50’s. He was mostly interested in black and white nudes.

Guy Bourdin (1928-91)
Guy was a French Fashion photographer, who was greatly influenced by Man Ray. Guy was mostly known for his exotic, shocking, and provocative images.

Alexey Brodovitch (1898-1971)
Was a Russian Born Photographer, and designer who is mostly known for his work in the Harper’s Bazaar Fashion magazine. He is a key contributor to the modern art of fashion.

Patrick Demarchelier (b.1943)
A French photographer, who is known for his work for the Life, Rolling Stone Magazine, Newsweek, and other high-profile magazines. In addition, he worked on photographs for Calvin Klein, Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, YSL, and Ralph Lauren.

These are just some of the many that have inspired me throughout my career. Each photographer shows a distinctive yet stunning image collection.
