If you are getting started in the fashion industry and trying to break through to the other side, then the only thing you need is consistency. I have been working as a professional fashion photographer for years now, and I mean it when I say that I understand your frustration.  Moreover, there is no person better to tell you, that you need to be consistent and keep at it. As there is no way you will be able to achieve your dream if you are not consistent. I understand that you are going through a difficult time right now, but you need to understand that this is just a phase of your life, and it will pass.

The thing is your big break will not walk up to you, you will have to earn it like everyone else does. Yes, your luck might speed up the process, but you will still need consistency to keep you going. It was one of those things that I caught on early in my career, as I understood that being consistent was the only way I was going to get anywhere in life. Being consistent is the key to success in my opinion, as you move on from being consistent about your career, to offering consistent work. If you could just learn the art of consistency, you will be able to achieve all that you wish to.

The thing is your big break will not walk up to you, you will have to earn it like everyone else does.

Keep your eye on the prize, and keep and consistently keep on offering quality work. As these will go hand in hand when it comes to making your way to the top. There is no one in the industry who will hire someone based on bad quality images, which is why you need to give them a reason to offer you. Your images will be your only reason, so when they see those images, they can spot talent. It might come down to a single image, which is why you need to keep on working, and practicing. So when your big break comes you are ready for it.

There are many examples in the world, but for now, you can take mine. There was a time when I was told I was not good enough for the industry, but instead of letting that one mans opinion shape my life, I took my life into my own hands. And today, I am one of the leading fashion photographers in Los Angeles. The key for me has always been consistency, and the fashion industry is harsh. So do not expect anything nice or kind words, as most people will not be afraid to blurt out whatever comes to mind.

However, you cannot let that shape your future, as what you need is to keep on working, and pushing yourself. And soon enough you will find yourself standing on the other side, with your head high, knowing that you have worked hard to achieve your dream. But if you are looking to keep that dream alive, I suggest you stay consistency for years to come.
